Methodology

Deterministic rules, visible uncertainty

How PCO Desk turns dated source records and user answers into a transparent organizational result.

One stable question, one or more sources

Every built-in question has a stable ID, an explanation, geographic scope, and links to the source records that support its inclusion.

No hidden score

A “yes” answer appears under Organized, a “no” answer appears under Needs attention, and missing or uncertain information appears under Verify with EMB. There is no percentage or pass/fail outcome.

Applicability remains explicit

Conditionally applicable evidence is asked separately. Items marked as not appearing applicable are retained as context and accompanied by a regional verification reminder.

Analytics never changes the checker

Analytics never selects questions or changes applicability, classifications, results, or rulesets. It measures approved operational events only after consent and never gates access to content or checker results.

Versioned and visibly provisional

Printed results identify their ruleset version. Material source changes create a new version rather than silently rewriting an older checklist. During the public pilot, draft status stays visible and overdue source records remain blocked.
